Comedy is my forte, but will love to do a negative role on TV – Saloni Sharma
Model and actress Saloni Sharma moved from her hometown Kolkata to the city of dreams, Mumbai with a clear ambition of becoming an actor. The girl got her first break with the Sahara One show, Firangi Bahu wherein she played the negative parallel lead, Hiral.
Saloni later took a deliberate break from TV to take her modelling and theatre activities to the next level.
Recently, she was seen in an episodic of Sony TV’s Aahat, where she essayed the role of a housewife who turns into a ghost to take revenge. Now she is yet again shooting for Aahat, and shares screen space with the dynamic Sarwar Ahuja.
Talking about it, Saloni tells us, “Yes, I am shooting for Aahat again, and it is a coincidence that I play a ghost again.”
On the role, she states, “I play the role of an actress who falls in love with the producer (played by Sarwar). However, her life is cut-short when another actress, burning with jealousy will sabotage this girl, which will lead to the girl’s death. I will then return as a ghost to take revenge.”
Saloni wishes to pick up challenging roles in TV. “Comedy is actually my forte, but I think I can easily carry off a well-etched negative character too. I am on the lookout for good roles on TV,” she says.
On her big screen plans, the girl avers, “Yes, like every actor, I too want to do well in films. I am on the verge of bagging few films down South. I will love to balance between TV here and my South movies.”
Best of luck, Saloni!!
