Chandni Bhagwanani ‘misses’ being part of the youth based shows
Chandni Bhagwanani simply misses being part of the youth-centric shows!! The girl who rose to the spotlight with her portrayal as lead in Amita Ka Amit, has come a long way in her career!!
Presently, she is seen essaying the lead in Zee TV’s Tum Hi Ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi, and is glad to have received a good response from viewers of all ages, especially the housewives. However, she misses being the ‘star’ amongst the youth fraternity.
Talking about the pros and cons of doing a daily drama and a youth-based show, Chandni avers, “Drama on a popular GEC is a blessing in disguise. I mean, you are blessed with a lot of viewers, and the drama quotient can really make heads turn. But for me, the adulation that an actor gets from the younger generation is something precious. And I simply miss the days when I was part of the youth shows, Jhalli Anjali Ke Tootey Dil Ki Amazing Story and P.S. I Hate You.”
She goes on, “Everything is so different, and so relatable when you do a youth show. I feel more comfortable wearing my jeans pant and kurtis, or trendy attire. Also, the way of speech in a youth show is different, as you are not given the heavy dialogues mouthed in a family show. You can be so real, while enacting your scenes.”
If given a chance, Chandni will yet again pick up a youth based show as her next project. “Perhaps, a youth show with a streak of comedy is what I will want. It will be fun to make people laugh. And I guess the shoot also becomes easier when you have to put up a big smile on your face,” she explains.
Well said, Chandni!!
