Dry Holi on the sets of Aadhe Adhoore
Unlike her calm and subtle onscreen image in Aadhe Adhoore, Sonali Nikam can be quite animated and fun, especially when she likes doing something which is close to her heart. The young and enthusiastic actress who plays Jassi in Aadhe Adhoore that airs on Zindagi at 9:50 pm planned a surprise pre- Holi celebration for her cast and crew. There was a lot of enthusiasm on the set, and it just doubled when the crew participated in full spirit and celebrated the festival of colours with full zeal and vigor!!
Sonali is well-aware of the current water shortage the country faces and encouraged everyone on the sets to play Holi only with organic colours, and completely dissuaded the use of water. Not only to her colleagues, Sonali has been spreading the message of a dry Holi to friends and family as well. The beautiful actress said, “I have always loved this festival. Like all festivals, this one too, dispels all negativity and is all about spreading cheer and happiness through the exchange of colours that symbolize togetherness! I believe in everything natural; and organic colours are the safest way of playing Holi. Also, a dry Holi ensures that there is no wastage of water and thus, it does not harm the environment.”
Reliving her memories from the sets, the actress also added, “The days spent on Aadhe Adhoore have brought about togetherness and fond memories that will stay fresh and bright just like these colours.” Along with Sonali, Rohit Bhardwaj and Priyanka Khera celebrated the festival in full spirit and also left a message to their fans to save water this Holi.
